Here is a wonderful example of a Quercus Leaf from the Miocene of Oregon. This distinct specimen has great detail - the elongated outline and venation are easily seen. The fossil has beautiful color and superb contrast - all natural, no added enhancement. The leaf is well presented on the large matrix plate. This is one of the better examples of this type from this site that we have had. It is a fine display specimen of this classic Oak Leaf.
