Here is a very nice crinoid and brachiopod association specimen from the Mississippian of Iowa. Both the crinoid and the brachiopod are unidentified. This crinoid exhibits very fine plate structure. The brachiopod displays its distinct ribbing pattern beautifully. Both specimens are 3-dimensionally preserved. There are many other crinoid fragments on the block of limestone. This is an interesting echinoderm and brachiopod association from the Burlington Formation of Iowa.
